Wish I had long hair or the entrepreneurial instinct of the French man who bought half of all these lovely hair accessories I came across last week at JJ market. The shop was tiny but packed with ladies ooh-ing and ahh-ing over the beaded hairclips, feathered hairbands, shell covered hairpins. The shop owner cleverly had put lace white table cloths over his simple folding tables and just an incredible sense of how to make it look all so romantic and beautifully tone on tone color coordinated.

...on the beach

Spotted this great beach tent for babies and kids last weekend just hung from a beach umbrella. Made of a lovely pink striped heavy 100% cotton, small windows to let air through and it even had some proper picks to put into the sand though shuffling some sand on to the bottom of the fabric seemed to do the trick as well. Perfect to keep our little ones safe from the sun!

Perhaps not environmentally friendly, but so beautifully presented all these shells. Felt a little less guilty indulging knowing that when my 7 year old daughter Faye and I walk the beach in Hua Hin 2 hours away by car from Bangkok, we collect the same type of shells.






Stumbled across a tiny little shop at the back of the market selling the most beautiful tiebacks and tessels in addition to all sorts of other oriental inspired decorations. What a treat!
